Program Presentation by John D. Hopkins

The post-AGM presentation by John D. Hopkins was based on his research narrative titled ’19th Century German Immigrant Church Affiliations: Three Generations of the Johann David Rau Family in Cooper County, Missouri’, which was published in early April in the Quarterly Journal of the Boonslick Historical Society (see also PDF of the Journal Article and the full web version with linked references, as well as the Research Index of all related files). As the narrative and supporting files were available in full, the presentation was a relatively brief and informal historical-genealogical exploration of the intermingling of religion, politics, social change, and family history in American life. Following this, there was roughly an hour of questions from the audience.
